What was needed

The client wanted the staircase to become a feature in its own right, with soft light on the treads at night instead of a bright overhead fitting.

Work completed

01Set out and cut the channel so the light line mirrors the pitch of the stairs precisely
02Installed plaster-in profile with a diffuser for an even, dot-free finish
03Ran the supply and driver back to a discreet location for future access
04Wired to a switch position agreed with the client and tested the circuit

The staircase is lit softly at foot level, the run is mitred cleanly at the top corner, and the fitting itself is invisible — only the light shows.
