Case study
Salon fit-out lighting
A full lighting installation for a commercial salon: a hexagonal LED grid across the ceiling, backlit mirror stations and concealed LED behind slatted timber walls.

The brief
What was needed
The client needed bright, even light for working at each station, alongside a dramatic feature ceiling that would photograph well and give the space its identity.
Work completed
- 01Set out and installed a hexagonal LED grid across the suspended ceiling, aligned to the room centre line
- 02Wired and mounted backlit mirrors at every station with the transformers concealed and accessible
- 03Installed concealed LED runs behind the timber battens and under each floating shelf and counter
- 04Separated the feature lighting, mirror lighting and task lighting onto their own circuits and controls
- 05Tested, certified and labelled the distribution board
Task light where the work happens, a feature ceiling that carries the brand, and no visible fittings or cable anywhere on the walls.
